INTRODUCING THE SENSATIONAL GADANGME MUSICIAN.

INTRODUCING THE SENSATIONAL Michael Tetteh Amui, THE GADANGME MUSICIAN.

Traditional Gadangme songs have seen many transitions over the years and thereby producing great hits and world acclaimed musicians. We saw the great works produced by greats such as E.T Mensah and his tempos, King Bruce, Jerry Hansen and his Ramblers   international band, Nii Tei Ashitey's Wulomei which also produced Naa Amanua and Big Boy( Bukom Dance Assemble).
During this period also arose cultural troupes such as Abladei, Dzadzeloi, Ashiedu Keteke among others. Notable individuals who took advantage of the period to hit their prime were the late Prof. Saka Acquaye, who wrote and managed the Wulomei, Mustapha Tetteh Addy, Francis Nii Yartey (all deceased), Asabea Cropper, Nii Mantse, Sol Amarfio (osibisa), Ayi Solomon (Classique Vibes)  just to mention a few. Currently one cannot discount the rise of Amandzeba and Adane Best (non GADANGME), Adote Tetor, Tinny, Shatta Wale and Nii Soul who are hoisting the GADANGME flag high.

One such rising GADANGME musician is called Michael Tetteh Amui.

The product of Odorgonno Senior High School is one of the surviving 9 children of the late S.O Amui (deceased) and Diana Amui.

He sees Amandzeba as his role model and has two great albums to his credit which are made of 10 tracks each.

The first album "wosumoo wohe" comes with other tracks such Sweet not always and "Homowo". While the second album called "YAAFO" has seasoned songs like "shame on you" and  "adzoo mi".
