From Fellowship to the Art and Survival Festival

From Fellowship to the Art and Survival Festival.

In 2021, Art and Survival shifted from a biennial convening to a learning community. Guided by the fellowship’s artistic director @ebonynoellegolden, in partnership with @skartdir and @doubleedgetheatre, this iteration of the program welcomed a national cohort of emerging artists to participate in three week-long immersions centering performance, cultural organizing and climate justice with a team of invited facilitators.  The fellowship also offered: a curriculum designed by the facilitation team, group and individual coaching sessions, residency opportunities, work in process sessions, photo and video archive of each year and a stipend for those who completed the fellowship.  Take a look at the road to the Art and Survival Festival!  We will see you in September!

Art and Survival is generously supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Trust for Mutual Understanding.
