KWAME NKRUMAH MEMORIAL PARK
On July 4, 2023 the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo commissioned the redeveloped Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park in Accra. The park which serves as a monument of the significant history of Ghana was dedicated to Ghana’s first president, our independence and a place containing the mortal remains of himself and wife.
The park which is located on the former British colonial ground in Accra for the past years have not seen any meaningful facelift till 2017 when his excellency Addo Danquah recognized the important role of the museum in tourism and secured a 40 million dollar loan from the world bank through the ministry of tourism ,arts and culture.
During the commissioning, ministers of state, Greater Accra paramount chief King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, Ghanaians and other foreign nationals grace the event to make it a beautiful one. The reconstruction of the Nkrumah Museum is to serve as a tourist site for visitors in and outside of Ghana learn, educate and maintain the value of the park as the vision of the establishment.
