 This is the fourth time the Black Stars of Ghana will be playing against Mexico. 

           

The first game between both countries was an international friendly match played on Wednesday, March 3, 2006. 

Mexico defeated the Black Stars 1-0. On March 26, 2008, Ghana lost 1-2, and in June 2017, Ghana lost 1-0.

Ghana has yet to beat Mexico, and Michael Essien is the only Ghanaian to have scored against Mexico.

Ghana's Senior National Team, the Black Stars will face 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup Champions and 2026 World Cup co-host, Mexico in a friendly encounter in the United States on Sunday October 15, 2023 at exactly 12:30am.

The friendly match with Mexico is an important fixture for Ghana as they prepare for upcoming competitions such as the FIFA World Cup qualifiers in November and the Africa Cup of Nations in January of the following year.
