Blacko won  the Best International Flow at #BETHipHopAwards this year for Africa

Black Sherif’s unique sound is geared towards creating a mass effect following, with the end goal of creating a global icon. With the manner in which he blends Ghanaian Highlife with Afro Beats, Drill and other sounds, it widens his reach and potential.

With Highlife being Ghana’s authentic sound, his use of the genre has an instant effect on the older folk which isn’t the usual case for a 20 year old artiste. First time listeners of Sherif get amazed by his vocal range then zone into his early  unorthodox melodies. But the actual catch is the substance in his writing and how relevant and relative it is to modern times and listeners.
Black Sherif beat nine other rappers for the award. Three of his competitors from our  African continent , K.O and the late A.K.A from South Africa and Sampa The Great from Zimbabwe and the other nominees Gazo from (France), Central Cee from (UK), J Hus from (UK), Major Rd from (Brazil), Ninho from (France) and Tasha & Tracie from (Brazil).

Black Sherif  who received his first nomination for the ‘Best International Flow’ last year lost the Award to Benjamin Epps from France.

He was nominated in the ‘Best International Flow’ category with Benjamin Epps from(France) Central Cee from (UK), Blxckie from (South Africa), Haviah Mighty from (Canada), Knucks from (UK), Le Juiice from (France), Nadia Nakai from (Zimbabwe), and Tasha & Tracie from (Brazil) at the 2022 edition of the prestigious awards scheme.
