Bandana to Shatta Wale
Sensational Ghanaian reggae dancehall artist Charles Nii Amarh Mensah Jr was born on the 17th October 1986. He maneuvered his way into the Ghana music industry with stage name Bandana and produced popular songs like Bandana from Ghana, moko hoo, obaa yaa and others. However, after a long break from the industry, his return birth a new generation and new stage name as Shatta Wale.
This new transition changed his style of music to the Jamaican Dancehall and with this, brought him a strong fan base across the globe since a lot of music lovers fell in love with his style. The likeness of his music by his fans also birth the shatta movement. Thus, a fun base of individuals who love his craft.
Fast forward, the shatta wale brand gained more popularity with songs like my level, Anastasia, Kaakai, Melissa, launch several music albums, organized various musical concerts and collaborated with some music artist like Beyoncé, the late Ebony Reigns, Wendy Shay, kwesi Arthur and other musicians.
Shatta wale has so far carved a niche for himself and won numerous awards for himself.
