 A TEAM OF OPHTHALMOLOGISTS FROM SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, PROVIDES FREE EYE SCREENING FOR THE PEOPLE ACCRA ON NII TACKIE TEIKO TSURU II's BIRTHDAY.

It was an eruption  of joy and ecstasy which greeted the group which was made up of ophthalmologists, nurses and other medical personnel from the United States of America. They've come to Abola in Gamashie to undertake free eye care and to provide medicine and spectacles where necessary.

This is a follow-up by the visit to Utah of the king Nii Tackie Teiko Tsusru II early this year, which was at the invitation to the temple of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The visit among other things opened the door to a greater cooperation between the church and the stool. And this time they have come to offer these free services to celebrate the birthday of the Ga Mantse Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II.

The eye screening began at exactly 9:00 am, and both young and old were taken care of amidst the sharing of sweets to children. The carefully arranged process of diagnoses to eliminate communication challenges, followed by the issuance of medication or advice went on smoothly without any hitches till around 6:00 pm when the curtains were drawn.

In all over 500 persons were taken care of.

It is one of numerous medical checks that happens periodically through the collaboration of Nii Tackie Teiko Tsusru II the Ga Mantse and medical establishments both home and abroad. It is the aim of the king to seek the welfare of his people at all times and provide them with the necessary assistances.
